RENO, Nev. -- Saturday, July 27th, Dolan Auto Group is sponsoring a child safety seat checkpoint.
Certified REMSA volunteers will be on hand to check child seats, correct any problems, and teach parents on the proper use of those seats. They will also be checking for any obvious defects and any seat that have been recalled.
Car crashes are the number one cause of death for children between three and 14. Federal officials say many of those deaths could have been prevented if children were in a properly installed child seats.
The seat inspections begin Saturday morning at 9 at Reno Toyota on Kietzke.
Because east will take about 30 minutes to inspect and the number of inspections is limited, officials encourage people to get early.
