WASHINGTON - SATCO is recalling more than 120,000 of its LED light bulbs because they can fall apart.
The company says the metal housing can separate from the bulb's base and fall. This poses a risk of injury to bystanders. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has received four reports of the bulbs falling apart. No injures have been reported.
The recall is for KolourOne Brand Panel Array 2.0 and DUO 2.0 PAR LED Light Bulbs sold between December 2012 to February 2014. The light bulbs were sold at electrical supply stores, lighting showrooms, hardware and specialty stores nationwide and online for between $35 and $45.
Consumers should immediately stop using and remove the recalled light bulbs from any fixture. Consumers can contact SATCO Products for free replacement bulbs.
