RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - A University of California, Riverside, student has pleaded not guilty to soliciting an ex-boyfriend's murder by another boyfriend who secretly recorded her for police.
The Press-Enterprise says 21-year-old Barbara Wu entered pleas on May 31 to charges of soliciting murder, making terrorist threats, vandalism, stalking and other crimes. She remains jailed Tuesday.
Dennis Lin, who dated Wu, sought a restraining order against Wu on May 24, two days after she allegedly asked him to kill an ex-boyfriend.
Lin wrote that Wu made him promise on May 22 that he would break the man's legs with a baseball bat, kill him and discard the body.
Instead, Lin went to the university and at the request of school police he recorded Wu allegedly discussing the plot.
