LOS GATOS, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have identified the two men who died after their canoe capsized during a family outing at a Northern California reservoir.

Santa Clara County Sheriff's Deputy Kurtis Stenerup on Monday says 35-year-old Nicholas Nell of Scotts Valley, Calif., and 30-year-old Raymond Nell of Aptos, Calif., died after the canoe capsized at the Lexington Reservoir just south of Los Gatos Sunday afternoon.

Stenderup said deputies searching found Nicholas Nell within an hour and Raymond Nell was found about three hours later.

A 16-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man also in the boat were able to swim safely to shore and alerted rescue divers that two others were still in the water.

Stenderup says the victims and survivors are related but he did not know their exact relationship.

Stenderup says no foul play is suspected citing only windy conditions on the reservoir as a possible factor. None of the four inside the canoe were wearing life vests.

The incident remains under investigation.
