SHINGLETOWN, Calif. (AP) - Sheriff's deputies have found the truck of a man suspected of fatally shooting his wife and two young daughters at their rural Northern California home.
Humboldt County Sheriff's deputies say 45-year-old Shane Miller remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Lt. Steve Knight said officials received 911 calls late Wednesday afternoon reporting that Miller was driving the truck in a rural area near Petrolia. Officers converged on the area and found the truck, but Miller was gone.
Petrolia is about 200 miles west of the site of the slayings in the Shasta County community of Shingletown.
Shasta County Sheriff's deputies found the bodies of Miller's wife and daughters Tuesday evening. The girls were ages 8 and 4. All three had been shot multiple times.
