SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - San Francisco police say three people, including a suspect, were shot and wounded during a home invasion robbery in the city's Bayview neighborhood.

Police responded to the home around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. A man, woman and two children were inside when three men pried open the door.

Police Sgt. Dennis Toomer says one of the robbers shot the man in the leg and the woman in the chest. The man apparently wrestled away the robber's gun and shot him with it.

The female resident and robbery suspect suffered life-threatening wounds. The children were not hurt.

The other two robbery suspects fled.
