FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Fresno police have arrested two young women on suspicion of kidnapping an elderly woman, stealing her car and taking her on a crime spree.

The Fresno Bee reports the 73-year-old victim had driven home Friday when she was confronted by the women who demanded her keys at gunpoint. She told police they put her in the back seat, tied her up, gagged her with duct tape and put a mask over her head.

Police said the suspects drove around the city and stopped at a Wells Fargo bank, where they tried to demand money from a teller.

When officers stopped the getaway vehicle, they found the bound victim, a note demanding money and a loaded handgun in the car.

The suspects were 20-year-old Antinique Piggee and 19-year-old Jasmine Adams.
