YORBA LINDA, Calif. (AP) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.1 has occurred near the Southern California city of Yorba Linda.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake occurred at 1:31 p.m. PDT Wednesday.
The epicenter was several miles north of the Orange County city.
The quake was felt widely in the region, including in downtown Los Angeles.
A quake of such magnitude is unlikely to cause significant damage.
The epicenter was well away - about 150 miles - from where an earthquake swarm has been shaking the state's southeastern corner since Sunday.
