SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA – South Lake Tahoe Police are looking for a man who tried to rob the El Dorado Saving Bank on Lake Tahoe Blvd Thursday afternoon. According to police, an elderly man handed a clerk a note demanding cash, but then appeared to have changed his mind. The suspect left through the front doors and rode a bicycle eastbound, away from the bank. The bicycle is described as a white or chrome girl’s style frame with a large basket on the front and a black bag affixed to the back.
The robber is possibly in his 70’s, approximately 5’-9” tall, thin, and clean shaven. He has short hair and wore a baseball cap which was black in the front and white mesh in the back. The cap has unknown type lettering on the front. He also wore a black hooded sweat shirt, a dark colored polo style pull-over shirt with thin multi-colored horizontal stripes under this, black shorts, white socks and black shoes.
