VISTA, Calif. (AP) - A Camp Pendleton Marine corporal has pleaded not guilty to killing a man whose body was found in an SUV.
City News Service says 23-year-old Kevin Coset entered the plea Monday. He was ordered held on $5 million bail.
Coset is charged with killing 24-year-old Alvin Bulaoro, a Navy vet who'd also been in the Army reserves.
In January, his body was found zipped into a sleeping bag in his own Toyota 4Runner at a supermarket in Fallbrook. He'd been reported missing on Dec. 23.
Authorities contend that Coset killed him at a Fallbrook hotel. Coset was arrested last month and faces 61 years to life in prison if convicted.
Authorities haven't provided a motive for the killing.
