OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Police in Oakland, Calif., say one person has been critically injured and six others suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting near a park.
Officer Johnna Watson said Tuesday that initial reports suggest that two armed suspects approached a group of men who were celebrating a birthday and opened fire.
Police had initially reported two men suffered critical injuries, but later downgraded that number to one.
The wounded are between the ages of 23 and 31.
Police do not have a motive for the shooting and are still trying to determine whether the assailants were on foot or in a vehicle.
