San Luis Obispo County Fire 60 Percent Contained

LOS OSOS, Calif. (AP) - State fire officials say a prescribed burn that jumped firelines in San Luis Obispo County is now 60 percent contained.

No homes are threatened by the wildfire, which started Tuesday as crews were deliberately burning off 430 acres of brush in Montana de Oro State Park.

Authorities say the blaze has burned an additional 100 acres of land but crews have stopped it from spreading.

Firefighters expect to surround the fire Wednesday.
