SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A Sacramento home has been destroyed in an explosive fire that appears to have left two people with critical burns.
Firefighters were called to the home around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. Fire officials say two vehicles with their lights turned off were seen speeding from the scene. Two burn victims were dropped off at the University of California, Davis Medical Center a short time later.
Sacramento Fire Battalion Chief Chris Ortiz says the two were intubated and in critical condition.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Firefighters say they found a small marijuana-growing operation at the home.
