RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (AP) - Investigators are looking through surveillance video to try to determine who shot and killed a security guard at a convenience store in Rancho Cucamonga.
The San Bernardino County sheriff's office said Sunday that Dean Sena was killed by a man who had just taken an undisclosed amount of cash from the mini mart.
Sena tried to stop the robber around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, after one of two clerks left the store and alerted him to the situation while the other clerk gave the robber the money.
Sheriff's deputies said Sena was shot before he could fire his own weapon. He died at the hospital.
