LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say a 49-year-old man is in custody after shooting a police officer and another man in a suburban neighborhood.
LAPD spokesman Officer Norma Eisenman says police responded to reports that a man had been shot in the arm and leg at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Reseda.
When officers arrived, people pointed out the gunman, who opened fire at officers. One officer received minor injuries in the arm possibly by shrapnel.
Cmdr. Andrew Smith says a semi-automatic handgun was recovered.
It's unclear what led to the shooting or what relationship the men had. An ambulance was called for the wounded man.
