SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - San Francisco police say two children, ages 1 and 3, are safe after taking a ride with a thief who stole a car with them in the back seat.
The Oakland Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/19I6qqT ) the children were found unharmed Tuesday evening inside the 2007 Volkswagen sedan, about two miles from where the car was taken.
Police say the car was discovered less than a half hour after it was stolen.
No one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
The newspaper says it was not immediately known who the car belongs to, or if the children are known to the person who took the car.
