PETALUMA, Calif. (AP) - Police and the FBI are investigating a Northern California man who was being held on $1 million bail after authorities say they found pipe bombs at his home.
The Press Democrat of Santa Rosa reports that 30-year-old Ismail Moylan, of Sonoma County, who police said also goes by the name Ismail Aljamal, was scheduled to be in court on Wednesday. He was arrested earlier in the week on suspicion of possessing a destructive device.
Petaluma police Lt. Tim Lyons says authorities were initially called to Moylan's home on Monday by a family member who said Moylan was suicidal and could have a gun.
Lyons says police subsequently found a handgun, three explosive devices and a fourth, partially built explosive device on the property.
