LOS ANGELES (AP) - The judge in the Bell, Calif., civic corruption case has declared a mistrial on remaining counts after the jury announced it was deadlocked.

The mistrial was declared Thursday after a day of attempts to resolve dozens of remaining allegations against five former elected officials of the blue-collar town.

All five were convicted of various other charges on Wednesday.
