SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Police in San Jose are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at a homeless shelter.
Sgt. Jason Dwyer says police responded to the Julian Street Inn homeless shelter after receiving a 911 call about a stabbing shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Officers found a man who stayed at the shelter with stab wounds. He was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later. His name has not been released.
Police say they have taken another man into custody in the death. The man has not been identified, and police have not named him as a suspect.
The killing is San Jose's 26th homicide of the year.
