LIVERMORE, Calif. (AP) - A 30-year-old man is missing after falling out of a kayak at a lake in Livermore.
Alameda County fire officials say the man was with a female relative on a rented, two-person kayak when he fell into Lake Del Valle at Del Valle Regional Park on Sunday afternoon. Fire crews were dispatched to the park around 2:35 p.m.
Fire Battalion Chief James Watkins tells the Oakland Tribune (http://bit.ly/19J9WnP) rescuers in helicopters and boats searched for the man for more than three hours. A sheriff's dive team also took part in the effort.
