South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. -The annual tent sale will be held at Heavenly’s California Lodge during Labor Day Weekend and returns this year with a special offer to prospective pass buyers. Those who purchase an Epic, Tahoe Value or Tahoe Local season pass at the tent sale will receive a $25 voucher to be used with any purchase of $250 or more. The voucher is only valid the day the pass is purchased and may not be combined with any other offer.

“There are only 79 days until we open, and if that doesn’t get the juices flowing for winter, then 75 percent off major brand-name ski and snowboard equipment should do the trick,” said Pete Sonntag, Heavenly general manager. “This is also the last chance to lock in the best value of our season passes. $379 allows you to ski more than 10,000 acres across Tahoe’s three premier resorts, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood. You’re not going to find a better deal on skiing and snowboarding at Lake Tahoe.”

The annual tent sale offers skiers and riders overstock of ski and snowboard gear, apparel and accessories with incredible deals for the whole family from top brands like Salomon, Atomic, Burton, Oakley, Lange, Volkl, Patagonia, The North Face and more. System Skis with bindings start as low as $99 at the used demo ski sale, and new 2013 products will also be available at huge markdowns. Factory reps will also be on-site to talk about equipment.

The hours for the tent sale are Saturday, September 1, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Sunday, September 2, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; and Monday, September 3, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Runners will have a chance to reach new heights by participating in the inaugural Heavenly Mountain Run, presented by Salomon and produced by Big Blue Adventure, on Sunday, September 2. Part of the Tahoe Trail Running Series, the 5.8-mile Heavenly Mountain Run begins at the California Base Lodge and ascends from 6,565 feet to 9,150 feet to finish at Tamarack Lodge at the top of the Gondola. Also starting Labor Day Weekend, Heavenly will be offering special pricing rates for season parking passes to Heavenly season pass holders. The California Main Lodge Parking passes can be purchased at the California Main Lodge Season Pass Office and the Village Parking Garage Passes can be purchased at the Gondola Pass Office.
