SAN ANSELMO, Calif. (AP) - State authorities are investigating after a Northern California grocery store worker had his arm crushed in a meat grinder.
The San Francisco Chronicle says a 28-year-old Rohnert Park man suffered a compound fracture of his right forearm in the accident, which took place Monday at Andronico's Market in San Anselmo.
Peter Melton of the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health says the man had surgery on Tuesday. There's no word on his condition.
A Cal-OSHA inspector went to the store Tuesday.
The Chronicle says a market representative didn't respond to calls for comment.
