SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Gov. Jerry Brown is launching a website to document the effects of climate change and respond to those who question it.

California's Democratic governor announced the site Monday while he was at Lake Tahoe with Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval for an annual summit focused on the health of the lake, which straddles both states.

Brown says climate change has irrevocably altered Tahoe's environment and that "humanity is getting dangerously close to the point of no return."

Since he took office in 2011, Brown has pushed for increased investment in renewable energy. He also supports building a $24 billion twin-tunnel system to carry water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta to the Central Valley and Southern California.

The governor's Office of Planning and Research will manage the climate change website, .
