LOS ANGELES (AP) - Two reputed gang members have been sentenced to death for a shooting at a Los Angeles County pizzeria that left three people dead and seven injured.

City News Service says the men were sentenced Friday for the June 2009 shooting outside Falcone's Pizza in Pico Rivera, where a motorcycle club called the Old School Riders was holding fundraiser for children who had lost a parent in a fire.

John Michael Perez and Rudy Anthony Ruiz were convicted in April of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors said the victims were mistakenly targeted as gang members.

Jurors also convicted Perez and Ruiz of seven counts each of attempted murder and one count each of conspiracy to commit murder.

Their death sentences and convictions will automatically be appealed to the state Supreme Court.
