LOS ANGELES (AP) - Red flag warnings are up around Southern California as dry, windy weather creates fire danger.
The National Weather Service says the warnings will run through Friday afternoon in valleys, mountains and forests from Los Angeles to San Diego counties.
Humidity will hit just 5 percent to 15 percent and offshore winds of 15 to 25 mph with some gusts to 45 mph. Temperatures will hit the 80s in some areas.
A cooler marine layer will return Friday evening, easing the fire conditions.
