ECHO SUMMIT, CA - Traffic is no longer restricted after a crash along US 50 at Echo Summit in California, on the south end of Lake Tahoe.
The California Highway Patrol reports about 11AM Friday, a motorcyclist headed east crossed the center line and collided with a Jeep SUV. The biker, from Rancho Cordova, California, was killed; his name hasn't been released. The passengers in the Jeep were taken to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries, according to the CHP.
The CHP investigated two other crashes Friday involving motorcyclists but no other vehicles, and with heavy biker traffic in the area for Street Vibrations, they are urging motorcyclists and other drivers to be especially careful through the weekend.
