PLEASANTON, Calif. (AP) - Police are investigating allegations that a former teacher at a Pleasanton preschool tied up a 2-year-old girl for refusing to take her nap, then later showed the photos to other teachers.
The Oakland Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/ZDlUct) a complaint was filed last week with Alameda County's Department of Social Services that said a former teacher of Centerpointe Christian Preschool tied the child's wrists and ankles with masking tape.
Church officials said nobody knew about the incident until months later, when the employee showed cellphone photos of the child to her colleagues. One of the teachers who saw the photo was the mother of the child.
The incident was reported to police by the parent March 4. The exact date of the incident is unknown.
