VISTA, Calif. (AP) - San Diego County prosecutors have filed new allegations against three members of a sex bondage ring facing trial in the violent death of a Camp Pendleton Marine's wife.
U-T San Diego reports the defendants, already charged with five felonies in the slaying of Brittany Killgore, are also charged with special circumstance allegations accusing them of murder during a kidnapping.
The District Attorney's office has not yet announced whether it will seek the death penalty or life without parole for 46-year-old Louis Perez, 37-year-old Dorothy Maraglino and 25-year-old Jessica Lopez.
Prosecutors say Killgore became an unwitting victim of the defendants' sadistic behavior when she agreed to go on a dinner cruise with Perez in April 2012. Her strangled body was found several days later near Lake Skinner.
