RENO, Nev. -- An earthquake shook the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada near Bishop, California.
The Nevada Seismological Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Reno reports the 3.3 magnitude quake happened at 5:02 Sunday morning. It was centered about 12 km north-northeast of Bishop. (12 km NNE of Bishop, CA; 33 km SW of Dyer, CA; 34 km N of Big Pine, CA). The epicenter was located at a depth of 8.54 kilometers.
There are no reports of damage or injuries.
