TAHOE VISTA, CA - The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding the people responsible for firing a gun into an occupied home on Friday, July 19, near Tahoe Vista.
At around midnight that night, a shot was fired into an occupied condominium near the intersection of Highway 267 and Cambridge Drive in Tahoe Vista. The condo does not appear to have been specifically targeted, as the occupants had just arrived there for vacation. The shooters may have been driving on 267, shooting from a vehicle, as other witnesses heard successive shots along the highway around the same time.
Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact Detective John Lasagna at 530-581-6323. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest may call Placer County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-923-8191.
