RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - Deputies are searching for the young killer of two women who were stabbed to death in a rural Southern California community.
Riverside County sheriff's investigators say deputies found the wounded women after responding to a call Monday evening in the unincorporated Nuevo area east of Perris.
Witnesses told deputies an 18- to 20-year-old man in dark clothing ran away after the attack. He has eluded capture.
Sgt. Jim Erickson says in a news release that one of the women was dead at the scene and the other died at a hospital.
The names of the victims are being withheld and there are no other details.
