Corcoran Officials Say Inmate's Death Homicide

CORCORAN, Calif. (AP) - Investigators at Corcoran State Prison are investigating the murder an inmate serving time for murder.

Authorities say Delbert Miller was found dead in his cell Thursday morning.

The 69-year-old was serving 81 years to life after a 2008 conviction for first degree murder in Humboldt County. He had been at Corcoran since July.

Authorities said Miller also had a 1988 conviction of rape and forced oral copulation of a child.

Miller's cellmate, 20-year-old Kyle Alexander Osborn, was identified by authorities as the suspect. In 2009 Osborn was sentenced in San Bernardino County to 26 years for lewd and lascivious acts on a child, among other charges. He is being held in administration segregation.

The Kings County District Attorney's Office is investigating.
