SAN DIEGO (AP) - Two nurses captured on surveillance video performing sex acts involving a 98-year-old patient continue working at San Diego hospitals.
In court documents obtained by television station San Diego 6, a state prosecutor says 41-year-old Alfredo Ruiz and 40-year-old Russel Torralba "repeated lewd sexual acts with each other in front of and next to the bedridden stroke victim," at one point touching each other's genitals while grabbing the woman's hand.
An administrative law judge suspended the men from home nursing on Oct. 24, but they continue to work at Kindred and Promise hospitals.
The attorney general's office will seek full suspension of the men's licenses at a Nov. 14 hearing.
Supervisors and attorneys for the two men say they are well-respected nurses who do not pose a danger to patients.
