OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Authorities are reviewing security protocols at a Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building in downtown Oakland after a bullet was found lodged in a judge's jury room.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Joseph Palmer, a spokesman for U.S. Marshal Don O'Keefe, said the bullet was found Sunday afternoon when no one was in the building. Palmer said it passed through the second-floor chambers of U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White before stopping in the jury room.

Palmer says it doesn't appear that the judge or any other staff were targeted.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that investigators are looking into whether the bullet was fired during a shooting that occurred about 1:30 a.m. Friday when someone was shot and wounded about a block away.
