INDIO, Calif. (AP) - U.S. Border Patrol agents have found more than $400,000 worth of methamphetamine hidden in a car stopped at a Southern California desert checkpoint.
Drug-sniffing dogs alerted agents when the Honda Civic was stopped Friday at the Highway 86 checkpoint south of Indio.
A dozen packages of methamphetamine were found hidden in the door panels.
The Desert Sun of Palm Springs says a 19-year-old woman was arrested. The Border Patrol isn't releasing her name.
