NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Prosecutors say the body of a woman found in a San Diego County trash receptacle has been identified as the wife of a real estate investor charged with her murder.
The Orange County District Attorney's office said in a statement Friday that the body discovered by law enforcement was identified by the San Diego County coroner as Quee Chadwick.
The cause of death has yet to be determined.
Chadwick's husband, 48-year-old Peter Chadwick, has pleaded not guilty to murdering his wife. Prosecutors say he killed his wife in their Newport Beach home over a dispute regarding a possible divorce and related financial issues.
