CLOVIS, Calif. (AP) - Bikini-clad baristas working at a Northern California coffee shop are brewing up a bit of controversy with some folks upset with their attire.
The Fresno Bee reports residents in Clovis are seeking signatures for a petition telling city council members that they want the servers at the Bottom's Up to either cover up or be told to close up shop permanently.
Clovis City Attorney David Wolfe said the city probably can't do anything about the business. Wolfe says residents began calling the city after a TV story on the shop featured a barista apparently showing too much skin when she bent over.
Bottom's Up co-owner Alexandra Ireland says she was just as surprised to see that on TV and the barista has since been let go.
Ireland says she wants to add 10 more stores in the Central Valley.
