LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A big-rig truck has crashed on a Long
Beach freeway overpass, with the cab overturning and the rest collapsing onto the roadway below.
The California Highway Patrol says the truck overturned shortly before 9:30 a.m. Thursday on a transition road from State Route 91 to Interstate 710. The cab remains on the road while the rest hangs over the side. The rig's yellow trailer fell onto the roadway.
Long Beach fire Capt. Jackawa Jackson tells City News Service that the trucker was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
The transition road and a 710 onramp are closed.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
