A Los Angeles County sheriff's executive has been charged with drunk driving two months after being pulled over in his his county-issued car.
Prosecutors filed misdemeanor charges Friday against 62-year-old
Division Chief Michael Aranda, who was arrested June 12 after a late-night traffic stop on the 14 Freeway near Acton.
Aranda, a 40 year department veteran, was placed on paid administrative leave two weeks ago. Aranda has since announced he
will leave the department in October.
Aranda was off-duty at the time of the arrest.
