Infant Killed By Stray Bullet In LA Shooting

Police were seeking suspects Monday in a shooting that left a 3-week-old baby dead from a stray bullet, authorities said.

Luis Angel Garcia, 23 days old, was sitting in a stroller when he was shot around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the city's MacArthur Park area, coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey said.

The El Monte infant died about a half-hour later at California Hospital Medical Center.

Another victim, identified as Francisco Clemente, 37, also was hit by a stray bullet, said police spokeswoman Sara Faden.

He was listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
