The high-profile murder trial of a Clovis biochemist accused of kidnapping and torturing her husband will be held in a Southern California courtroom.
A Fresno County Superior Court judge ruled yesterday that the trial of Larissa Schuster should be held in Van Nuys because of all the media coverage surrounding the case.
The trial is scheduled to begin October 15th.
The 46-year-old Schuster and her former lab assistant James Fagone were arrested in the murder of Schuster's estranged husband Timothy Schuster in July of 2003 after his body was found stuffed in a 55-gallon container of acid in a storage unit.
A Fresno County Superior Court convicted Fagone of first-degree murder and burglary in February for his role in the slaying, but acquitted him of kidnapping.
He has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
