A teenage driver convicted of causing a freeway crash that killed two members of Tonga's royal family and their driver is appealing her two-year jail sentence.
Edith Delgado was driving a car that sideswiped a Ford Explorer on a Highway 101 in Menlo Park on July 5th, 2006.
The SUV flipped and rolled over several times, killing a Tongan prince, princess and their driver.
The Redwood City teenager was sentenced in San Mateo County Superior Court last week after she was found guilty in misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
She was acquitted of more serious felony charges in June.
