A former Marin County elementary school teacher has pleaded not guilty to charges that she had sex with two teenage boys during drunken encounters at her friend's house.
41-year-old Amy Lee Kelly of Benicia Kelly taught at Bacich Elementary School in Kentfield for 11 years until leaving last year.
She is free on bail and is due back in court next month.
According to court documents, the alleged encounters took place in October last year after Kelly became drunk at her friend's house in Corte Madera and met the two 15-year-old boys.
The Redwood High School students were visiting Kelly's friend's daughter and had also been drinking.
Kelly's attorney could not be reached for comment today.
Prosecutors say Kelly could be sentenced to more than four years in prison and be required to register as a sex offender if convicted of the charges.
