Two bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of a small private plane in San Diego County.
The coroner says both victims were members of the Navy, but their identities were not immediately available.
The bodies were found at the crash site in a rural area near El Capitan Reservoir. The wreckage was spotted around noon Saturday by a sheriff's helicopter crew on routine patrol about 19 miles northeast of El Cajon.
Deputies had to hike deep into the canyon near Three Sisters Falls to find the bodies, which were airlifted from the site.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
