MOORPARK, CA - A rare fossilized mammoth found in Moorpark may get a new home.

The City Council will decide next week whether to donate the bones to the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.

The adult female has 8-foot tusks and stands 13 feet tall at the shoulders. The skeleton was uncovered at a construction site in
2005 by a bulldozer operator.

The animal is believed to have lived 800,000 to 1.4 Million years old.
