5 Injured as Bus, Car Collide in Downtown LA

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Metro commuter bus and a car have collided in downtown Los Angeles, injuring five people.

Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott tells City News Service that the accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Metro spokesman Rick Jager says the bus driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital for treatment of neck and head injuries. Three other passengers were treated at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
