SAN DIEGO (AP) - A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to five years and eight months in prison for recruiting an underage girl into prostitution in San Diego.
Christopher Black was sentenced Monday in a San Diego federal courtroom. The 21-year-old pleaded guilty in January to charges of conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of children and coercion of a juvenile into prostitution.
Prosecutors said Black and another man, Christopher Tenorio, took photographs of the girls, posted ads on Craigslist and negotiated with respondents who paid to have sex with the juveniles.
Black also admitted to driving the girls to and from hotels where the girls had sex.
Tenorio and another co-defendants have pleaded guilty and are scheduled to be sentenced next month.
