LA HABRA, Calif. (AP) - A second person has died as a result of a collision between a La Habra police car and another vehicle.
Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino says 55-year-old Charles Antuna died at UC Irvine Medical Center from injuries he sustained in yesterday's crash in La Habra.
His wife, 54-year-old Susanne Antuna, died at the scene of the crash.
Authorities say a La Habra police officer was on her way to help pursue a parolee around 5 p.m. when she collided with the Antunas' PT Cruiser.
The California Highway Patrol says the police car was traveling around 50 mph when it hit the other vehicle at an intersection.
A La Habra police spokeswoman says the officer is hospitalized in stable condition.
