SAN DIEGO (AP) - A Mira Mesa indoor marijuana plantation has gone up in smoke after the equipment used to grow the plants apparently malfunctioned.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out around 5:10 a.m. Sunday. It caused about $100,000 damage to the house and destroyed $50,000
worth of marijuana.
A marijuana-cultivation system was found in the ruins.
San Diego police Sgt. Art Campa says a man believed to be the home's owner is under arrest.
The blaze remains under investigation.
