FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - A Southern California woman who tried to set her then-estranged husband up as a drug-dealing high school teacher has pleaded guilty to felony charges in the case.
Devon Abbott of Mira Loma was sentenced Friday to a year of home confinement after entering her plea in Orange County Superior Court.
Her ex-boyfriend, Soloman Silver of Portland, Maine, was also sentenced to three years in prison for conspiring with her in the plot.
History teacher Greg Abbott was arrested last May after police found a shotgun, marijuana and prescription pills in his car. An anonymous caller tipped police to the drugs.
But police later said Greg Abbott was innocent and they were investigating his estranged wife and her boyfriend for setting him up.
The Abbotts are now back together.
